The summer has been jam-packed with events, activities, new faces and partnerships.

Annual Meeting

We are deeply grateful for the incredible support of our honorees, sponsors, and everyone who joined us for our Annual Meeting on July 10, 2025, at the beautiful Rye Town Park. It was a perfect summer day—over 86 community members gathered under the scenic Grecian shelter overlooking the beach to celebrate how much we appreciate our consumers.

The festive atmosphere featured upbeat 80s-themed music, fun trivia games with prizes, and a delicious BBQ that brought everyone together in good spirits.

Each year, WDOM proudly invites our consumers, partners, and friends to reflect on our achievements and recognize outstanding individuals who make a difference in our community. This year, we were honored to present the following awards:

  • Spirit of Independence AwardCounty Legislator Nancy Barr
  • Corporate Ally AwardCommunity Service Society (CSS)
  • Voice for Inclusion AwardMarcus Blacknall, Peer Advocate
  • Board Member Excellence AwardGail Cartenuto Cohn, President Emeritus & Board Advisor

We were also privileged to hear from a distinguished lineup of speakers, including:

Senator Andrea Stewart-Cousins (President Pro Tempore and Majority Leader),
Westchester County Executive Ken Jenkins,
Assemblymembers Chris Burdick and Steven Otis,
Town of Rye Supervisor Gary Zuckerman, and
Advocate Harriet Lowell.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to the Arc Westchester volunteers, who help us distribute turkeys and essential items every Thanksgiving week. Your dedication does not go unnoticed!

Finally, we extend our sincere appreciation to our generous event sponsor, Liberty Lines, for helping make this celebration possible.
