Lyft Trial

Lyft blocks WAV drivers from picking up wheelchair users in 96% of the regios where Lyft operates. In 2017, Westchester Disabled On the Move, Inc. and Harriet Lowell filed a federal lawsuit demanding that Lyft serve wheelchair accessible vehicle users everywhere and stop discriminating against people with disabilities. Our court case to force Lyft to serve people with disabilities will go to trial on July 8, 2024 and is expected to last for 5 days but may last up to two weeks. The trial is open to the public, and advocated and supporters are welcome to attend this trial. RSVP WAV transportation and lunch will be provided to all attendees free of charge.
