Congratulations to Sun River Health

Congratulations to Sun River Health on celebrating 50 years of serving the community with outstanding healthcare services.
A network of fifty community health centers located throughout the Hudson Valley, New York City, and Long Island, Sun River celebrated its 50th anniversary with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the organization’s first location – The Jeannette J. Phillips Community Health Center at 1037 Main Street in Peekskill – on Saturday, August 2. Sun River Health CEO Anne Kauffman Nolon, MPH, gave remarks.
WDOM was proud to be one of the many organizations that attended the free community event in Pugsley Park.
“Sun River Health has been a wonderful partner, providing excellent healthcare to so many of our clients,’’ said Maria Samuels, CEO of Westchester Disabled On the Move. “We are so fortunate that they are here to serve our community.’’
Maria Samuels Joins Board of Directors LVW
WDOM has been a vocal advocate for voting rights/access for people with disabilities, so we are happy to announce that our Executive Director Maria Samuels is now on the Board of Directors of the League of Women Voters in Westchester. Stay tuned to learn about more programs on voting rights in partnership with LWV of Westchester County.
WDOM Awarded Platinum Seal of Approval
We are excited to announce that Westchester Disabled On the Move has been approved by Candid for their Platinum Seal of Approval.
Candid is an information service specializing in reporting on U.S. nonprofit companies. WDOM will now be included in its extensive database of nonprofits. Funders look to Candid’s Guidestar database to verify and research nonprofits that are aligned with their priorities. It also provides training and other resources to assist nonprofits. This is a major coup for WDOM.
