This spring, Westchester Disabled on the Move partnered with our legislators to spread the word about services available as part of the Community Health Advocates (CHA) program. CHA has been a leading voice for New York’s health care consumers, providing free, one-on-one assistance and community training to help people find and use health insurance and care. Through CHA, WDOM helps people with Medicare Advantage, supplemental insurance, drug plans, surprise billing issues, and more.
Thanks to Assemblymembers Chris Burdick and Dana Levenberg, along with Westchester County Legislators Shanae Williams and Margaret Cunzio, for bringing us into their districts to educate their constituents on these services that are available to them, free of charge.
We held programs in Yonkers, White Plains, and Mount Pleasant throughout the months of February and March, and will soon be featured on Assemblymember Levenberg’s podcast to discuss our services.
